Even though I’m headed to New York on Friday, San Francisco’s looking pretty nice today.
The Guggenheim. What can I say about this beautiful building that isn’t already described in these curves or illusionistic architecture.

Washington Square: where you can sit outside and watch a ton of people, and also meet a lot of weirdos.
Coffee is a big part of my life, and gives me the patience (I don’t have) to get through the day. I’m drinking a big cup of joe while I’m writing this sentence. Think Coffee in NYC is one of my favorite places. When I was living in the village, I grabbed a cup every morning on my way to the Woolworth’s building downtown. They also have pretty good grilled cheeses there, too.
Inside the New York Public Library. I remember finding a Milton quote above a door there, and thinking how could I ever leave this city?
Grand Central Station is really this beautiful all the time.
I thought in honor of my trip to New York next month, I would start posting photos of my favorite New York things. A Perfect Day for Bananafish started when I moved to New York for a summer, after finishing my thesis and trying to sort out my life. I got lost, I figured out what I wanted to do, and in the process I fell in love with the city, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
Ah, it looks like New York threw up all over itself with film references.
